Companies will do anything and everything to get their name out there for their publics to hear. More often than not, though, marketing can prove to be quite costly, so wouldn’t it be nice if there was a few free forms of marketing and advertising that companies could use to save a little more cash, while still experiencing an adequate amount of face time? Well the good news is there are numerous ways to market your company at no cost whatsoever, and that can all be done from the comfort of your home office. The internet has created a variety of new techniques for companies to market themselves; most in ways that gain just as much publicity as pricey advertising campaigns.
One easy, free way of online marketing would be to send your press releases out to free press release distribution sites, like 24-7PressRelease.com or PRLog.org. These sites will post your press releases for no cost whatsoever, and are a great way to get your company information out there. You could also email your press releases to any media outlets that might be interested in what you’re covering. Yes, it’s a shot in the dark, but, hey, you’ll never know unless you try.
Utilize Google Places
Another way to promote your company online would be to create a Google Places listing. This is a completely free tool that Google offers to get your company’s name out there with pictures and videos of what you do, information on where you’re located, and facts about your company in general. Once you’ve created your Google Place listing your site should soon appear at the top of Google’s search engine results, which could ultimately get your website more traffic.
By joining social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, your company is automatically putting themselves out there for free marketing. On all of these sites you’re able to interact with customers and future consumers of your products, and are able to hear feedback on what they think. Make sure to keep up with any social media outlet you create, and to actively respond to your customer; they do have an opinion, and have no problem stating it all over your Facebook page.
Being Active on Blogs
By creating or even simply commenting on blogs, bloggers are able to see what your company has to offer, or what view it holds about certain products. If your company has a blog, and you attach this to your website, traffic can be instantly increased with almost no work at all. Again, stay active with this; if your company is changing and growing, your blog should be too.
You can create slideshows or even video demonstrations about how to use your products and upload them to YouTube. This is a helpful way for readers to know not only what products you have, but how to use them correctly as well. People would rather watch a four minute video than read a four page article, so this form of marketing should prove extremely beneficial.
By creating a LinkedIn profile, companies are able to connect with people you know and even some people you don’t through introductions. This is a great way to connect with people in other industries that could possibly help you out in the future. Remember, networking is all about who you know, so get yourselves out there! It definitely could prove beneficial in the future.
The Importance of URLs
Place your URL on anything and everything you send out: emails, flyers, brochures, press releases, everything. Constantly putting information in peoples face is forcing them to look at it. You don’t need to be aggressive about it, and definitely don’t go overboard, but by simply placing your URL and perhaps your logo on every piece of information you send out, you’re automatically giving people more of a chance to remember you name, and obviously your website.
Finally, attempt to gather a list of your customer’s email addresses, this way whenever you have a new product, coupon, or special offer all you have to do is pull up this list and send out a mass email. This is great way of marketing that consumers will love because you’re constantly keeping them updated on new projects and figures.
Free online marketing isn’t hard to find or do, and is something that your consumers will ultimately appreciate. Join social media outlets, keep all information active and up to date, and most of all just keep trying! If you do, people will have to catch on to how great your company is soon enough.
